Common questions.
- Is Bon-App free to join?
- Yes. Creating an account is completely free for both diners and hosts. Diners pay a small booking fee (around 10%) on top of the meal price. Hosts pay a 15% platform fee deducted from earnings.
- What if I have dietary restrictions?
- Each meal listing includes allergen and dietary information. You can also message the host directly before booking to discuss your needs.
- What if I need to cancel?
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the meal receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 50% fee. Hosts who cancel receive a rating penalty.
- Can I host if I'm not a professional cook?
- Absolutely. Most of our hosts are passionate home cooks — not professionals. If you can cook a meal you'd be proud to serve a guest, you qualify.
- How does Bon-App verify hosts?
- All hosts complete identity verification, a standard background check, and our food safety training before their first meal.
